MANILA, Philippines – The August 2025 Civil Service Exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) full list of passers and topnotchers (top 10) for professional and subprofessional level are expected to be released online between October 9-18, 2025, within 60-69 calendar days after the exam.
"The list of passers shall be posted on the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph by October 18, 2025.
Since said date falls on a Saturday, the release of test results may be adjusted/moved either earlier on the last working day before the subject date, or later to the next regular working day. Moreover, the date itself may be subject to adjustment based, or depending, on the actual number of examinees," CSC stated in Examination Advisory No. 14 series 2025.
The second CSE-PPT this year was administered in 16 regions nationwide on August 10, 2025 (Sunday).
As of press time, the CSC is yet to announce the actual number of examinees for the Professional and Subprofessional levels.

Release of Results
Based on the calendar of Civil Service Examinations for Year 2025 and Examination Advisory No. 03 series 2025, the CSC plotted October 18, 2025 release of August 2025 CSE-PPT results, or sixty-nine (69) calendars days.
But since the target date falls on a Saturday, CSC said the release of civil service exam results may be adjusted/moved either earlier on the last working day before the subject date, or later to the next regular working day. Moreover, the date itself may be subject to adjustment based, or depending, on the actual number of examinees.
With this, we advise takers to monitor announcement of CSE-PPT results between October 9 (Thursday) and October 18, 2025 (Saturday), or 60-69 calendar days after the exam.
The CSC is following the protocol on target release of results according to the number of examinees.
To quote, CSC said "For CSE Professional and SubProfessional levels, release of results is set at 69 days after exam in light of the 350,500 maximum exam slots, effecting additional 10 days to the computed Program Expenditure Classification (PREXC)-based 59-day-after-exam release of test results for CY 2025 for exam slots of up to 300,000. The additional 10 days are calculated at 1 day for every 5,000 exam slots in excess of 300,000. However, this may be subject to adjustment depending on the actual number of examinees."
Coverage of Exams
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):
Professional Level (Prof) -170 items with a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Analytical Ability (word analogy and logical reasoning)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
SubProfessional Level (SubProf) - 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
General information items on the following for both levels:
- Philippine Constitution;
- Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713);
- Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and
- Environment Management and Protection
Passers who got at least 80 percent rating will be eligible for a position in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements - education, experience, and training.
OCSERGS: Verification of Rating
Examinees, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website by October 25, 2025 (Saturday) or as indicated in the corresponding issuance/advisory.
Note: Similar to the release of test results, the availability of the OCSERGS may be adjusted/moved either earlier on the last working day before the subject date, or later to the next regular working day.
Previous Examinations
The Career Service Examination - Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) has consistently challenged thousands of Filipinos aspiring for government service. Below is a summary of the recent results:
March 2025 CSE-PPT: Out of 318,977 examinees, 46,470 successfully passed. At the Professional level, 42,472 out of 287,250 candidates (14.79%) qualified for Civil Service Professional eligibility. Meanwhile, 3,998 out of 31,727 examinees (12.60%) passed the Subprofessional level. The top performers were Charina Mae P. Tigbayan (NCR) with a rating of 97.91 for the Professional level, and Gerald Son B. Borilla III (NCR) with a rating of 97.19 for the Subprofessional level.
August 2024 CSE-PPT: A total of 47,449 out of 329,465 examinees passed the exams. For the Professional level, 42,812 out of 296,758 candidates (14.43%) qualified, while 4,637 out of 32,707 examinees (14.18%) passed the Subprofessional level. Mark Justine M. Domingo (Region IV) topped the Professional level with 97.49, and Irmengard Julie G. Gelsano (Region VIII) led the Subprofessional level with 97.00.
March 2024 CSE-PPT: Of the 335,385 examinees, 57,683 passed, giving an overall passing rate of 17.20%. Specifically, 51,311 out of 297,952 Professional-level candidates (17.22%) passed, while 6,372 out of 37,433 Subprofessional examinees (17.02%) succeeded. Viron Gil A. Estrada (NCR) achieved the highest Professional-level score with 97.30, and Mia Kimberly F. Noche (Region IV) led the Subprofessional level with 97.24.
For the August 2025 CS exam results, takers may expect of passing rate around 10-20%.

Certificate of Eligibility to Passers
Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.
Next Civil Service Exam
The next Civil Service Examination for both Professional and Sub-Professional levels is scheduled for March 2026. The application period and other details will be announced soon.
