MANILA, Philippines – The March 2025 Civil Service Exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) full list of passers and topnotchers (top 10) for professional and subprofessional level are expected to be released online between April 28-May 2, 2025 or in 57-61 calendar days after the exam.
"The list of passers will be posted on the CSC website not later than 2 May 2025," CSC said in a statement on Thursday, March 6.
The first CSE-PPT this year was administered in 16 regions nationwide on March 2, 2025 (Sunday).
CSC said that a total of 318,973 examinees took the Career Service Examination, Professional and Subprofessional levels, across 95 testing centers.
Of the total examinees, 287,254 individuals, representing 91.35 percent of registered applicants, took the Professional level exam, while 31,719 individuals or 91.37 percent of registered applicants took the Subprofessional level.
The National Capital Region recorded the highest number of examinees with 46,312 test takers, followed by Region IV with 37,420 and Region III with 23,019.
CSC said that passers who got at least 80 percent rating will be eligible for a position in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements - education, experience, and training.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):
Professional Level (Prof) -170 items with a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Analytical Ability (word analogy and logical reasoning)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
SubProfessional Level (SubProf) - 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
General information items on the following for both levels:

RELEASE OF RESULTS
The exact release date of CSE-PPT results was announced on Thursday, March 6.
In previous update, CSC was targeting May 10, 2025 release of results as stated in calendar of civil service examinations for Year 2025 and Examination Advisory No. 03 series 2025.
The CSC is following the protocol on target release of results according to the number of actual examinees.
To quote, CSC said "For CSE Professional and SubProfessional levels, release of results is set at 69 days after exam in light of the 350,500 maximum exam slots, effecting additional 10 days to the computed Program Expenditure Classification (PREXC)-based 59-day-after-exam release of test results for CY 2025 for exam slots of up to 300,000. The additional 10 days are calculated at 1 day for every 5,000 exam slots in excess of 300,000. However, this may be subject to adjustment depending on the actual number of examinees."
OCSERGS/VERIFICATION OF RATING
Examinees, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website by May 17, 2025 (Saturday) or as indicated in the corresponding issuance/advisory.
PREVIOUS EXAM
In the August 2024 Career Service Examination - Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT), 47,449 examinees out of 329,465 passed the exams. A total of 42,812 out of 296,758 total candidates (14.43%) hurdled the CSE Professional Level. For the CSE Subprofessional Level, 4,637 individuals or 14.18 percent of the 32,707 examinees achieved a passing rate. Mark Justine M. Domingo from Region IV topped the Professional level with 97.49% while Irmengard Julie G. Gelsano from Region VIII topped the Subprofessional level with 97.00 rating.
In the March 2024 civil service exam, a total of 57,683 individuals out of 335,385 or 17.20 percent passed the exam. Of the 297,952 candidates who took the CSE Professional level, 51,311 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 17.22 percent. Additionally, 6,372 out of 37,433 individuals passed the Subprofessional level, achieving a pass rate of 17.02 percent. Viron Gil A. Estrada from the National Capital Region (NCR) achieved the highest score in the CSE-PPT Professional level, earning a rating of 97.30 and surpassing 297,951 other candidates. Meanwhile, Mia Kimberly F. Noche from Region IV led the Subprofessional level with a top rating of 97.24.
In the August 2023 civil service exam, 64,635 examinees out of 345,194 (18.72%) successfully hurdled the tests. Of the total passers, 56,942 examinees hurdled the Professional Level while 7,693 passed the Subprofessional Level. Patricia D. Victa from the National Capital Region (NCR) topped the Professional level with a rating of 93.60%. Leonard Brian E. Nicolas, also from NCR led the Sub-Professional level with a rating of 90.83.
In the March 2023 civil service exam, 64,420 examinees out of 381,607 (16.88%) passed the exams. A total of 54,478 or 16.42 percent out of 331,816 examinees passed the Professional Level Examination, while 9,942, representing 19.97 percent of the 49,791 examinees, passed the Subprofessional Level exam. With a rating of 92.63, Glenn C. Gonzales from the National Capital Region (NCR) topped the Professional level, while LM Tricia T. De La Cruz from Western Visayas topped the Subprofessional level with a 90.24 rating.
For the March 2025 CS exam results, takers may expect of passing rate around 10-20%.

CERTIFICATE OF ELIGIBILITY TO PASSERS
Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.
NEXT CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
The next Civil Service Exam (Professional and Sub-Professional Level) is on August 10, 2025. Application period is between May 12, 2025 and June 11, 2025.
