The Summit Express, a reliable online news portal in the Philippines, is looking for one (1) news/feature writer to join our growing team.
1. Writer should have the ability to spot viral or trending post/s and stories on social media/other sources and create article/s from it.
2. The writer must be social media or tech savvy, knows various social media platforms and has good writing skills and enthusiasm to deliver the freshest stories ahead of the competition.
3. The writer should have basic background on search engine optimization (SEO), knows the nature of blogging, basic HTML coding and any image editing application or software.
4. The writer should be willing to contribute in any time of the day and week.
5. Preferably an existing/previous writer of other online site/s but with no full-time job to avoid conflict.
6. This is a part-time job only and you will work from the comfort of your home. Rate is per article.
Responsibilities
1. Provide 20-30 articles per month. This may increase depends on performance and actual requirements.
2. Create article on time after topic approval by admin. Remember that speed is a must for news online.
Notes: Full details of topic selection, approval and submission will be discussed in separate.
Other opportunities as a writer
As a writer, you will also get the opportunity to attend product launch (if Metro Manila resident), press conference and various events. Through media invites, you will enjoy some freebies, be the first to know about new product or announcement and even see your favorite stars.
On top of the regular articles, writer will have chance to write sponsored articles. Branded article rates are normally higher than the regular article rate.
