MANILA, Philippines – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has officially released the schedule for the 2026 Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Sub-Professional levels. Below are the important dates, requirements, and details for applicants.
Exam Dates and Application Periods
- March 8, 2026 CSE-PPT: Filing of applications is from November 3 to November 28, 2025.
- August 9, 2026 CSE-PPT: Application period runs from May 14 to June 10, 2026.

CSC Examination Announcements
Except for the CSE-FSO, the CSC will release specific examination announcements three weeks prior to each application period. These announcements include details such as:
- Testing centers
- Qualification and admission requirements
- Application/documentary requirements
- Where and how to file applications
- Scope of examination
- Passing grade
- Target release of test results
- Resulting civil service eligibility

Additional Information
- The Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) for 2026 will be withheld due to the implementation of Republic Act 12001 and ongoing evaluation by the Department of Finance.
- Starting 2026, the first CSE-PPT of each year will be conducted on the second Sunday of March, while the second CSE-PPT remains on the second Sunday of August.
