Rainbow clouds over Cebu a 'promise of sunshine after the rain'

Seen as a message of hope amid the COVID-19 crisis, beautiful rainbow clouds over Cebu recently went viral. While the original uploader joked about waiting for unicorns to come out from the clouds, the pictures also went viral as netizens saw it a sign that better days are coming.

Julian Dashmari shared some photos of the beautiful clouds taken on May 31, 2020 at 6:21 AM. The pictures show cumulonimbus rain clouds just beyond SM Seaside Cebu. But the rainbow colors are quite noticeable amid the dark clouds.

Dashmari expressed admiration over the rain of colors over the mall but also joked that the unicorns are really taking a long time to come out. He’s waiting for them to emerge from the rainbow clouds. LOL.

Admiring the gorgeous pictures, The Facebook page of SM Seaside City Cebu (Official) also shared the photos.

“There’s always a promise of sunshine after the rain. 🌈 Stay safe, Cebu!” SM Seaside City Cebu (Official) wrote in the caption, crediting the photos to Dashmari.

A lot of netizens also agreed with the post, with some expressing admiration over the beautiful photos and applauding Dashmari for the wonderfully captured photo.

“The Rain this morning is a blessing to all of us CEBUANOS...we [have survived] and there is a revival of a new beginning in our life....stay safe and God bless to all...in Jesus name,” one netizen commented.

While the highest number of COVID-19 cases is found in the National Capital Region (NCR), Cebu ranks second.

Of the 17,224 positive cases reported in the entire Philippines as of May 30, 2020, a total of 2,037 are from Cebu City, Cebu province, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City. The three cities are located right next to each other.

Many believe that these rainbow clouds bring the promise that better days are coming, soon!
