MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is expected to officially release the full results of the DOST Scholarship Exam for Academic Year 2025–2026 sometime in June 2025. The complete list of passers will be available here once officially announced online.
"The results of the 2025 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination are expected to be released in June 2025," the agency confirmed in an article on April 24.
DOST-SEI announced that a total of 95,654 high school students took the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination on April 5 and 6, 2025 across 215 testing centers nationwide.
Luzon accounted for the majority of examinees, with 55,758 hopefuls. Meanwhile, the Visayas and Mindanao regions recorded 21,806 and 18,058 examinees, respectively.
Extending beyond the Philippine archipelago, 32 aspiring scholars took the exam in Saudi Arabia during the first week of May 2025.
This marks the second consecutive year that DOST-SEI has recorded over 95,000 examinees for its annual qualifying exam. In 2024, while 97,156 students were eligible, only 89, 510 took the test. Of those, 10,756 students were accepted into the DOST-SEI scholarship program.

The qualifiers will receive their Notice of Award, while the potential qualifiers will receive advice on the requirements they must resubmit. After which, all the qualifiers, with their parents/legal guardians, are invited to attend the orientation on S&T Scholarship Policies and Procedures.

BENEFITS
Qualifiers who will avail of the scholarship will enjoy benefits for the duration of their S&T degree program, which include the following:
- Php 8,000.00 monthly living allowance
- Up to Php 40,000.00 per year for tuition and other school fees in private institutions
- Php 10,000 learning materials and/or connectivity allowance
- Php 10,000 thesis allowance
- Transportation allowance for those studying outside their home province
- Group health and accident insurance
Qualifiers must enroll in a BS program in a priority S&T field at a state university or a Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-recognized or Level III-accredited private institution. The list of priority S&T programs can be found on the DOST-SEI website: www.sei.dost.gov.ph.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF DOST SCHOLARS
DOST-SEI scholars are required to render service in the country preferably along their fields of specialization after graduation for a period equivalent to the number of years they enjoyed the scholarship as a return service.
SEI maintains its resolve that this strategy allows the country’s industries to have “the best minds” to do their services and products.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the 2024 DOST S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program, DOST-SEI named 10,756 qualifiers out of 89,510 examinees.
In the 2023 DOST S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program, DOST-SEI named 9,776 qualifiers out of 79,585 examinees.
In the 2022 DOST Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the agency named 10,487 qualifiers.
In the 2021 S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the agency named 8,067 qualifiers. Announcement of results took some time due to "new selection scheme."
In the 2020 DOST scholarship exams, a total of 9,788 out of 102,526 (9.55%) examinees clinched their slots. Results were announced in five (5) months after the exam.
In the 2019 S&T Undergraduate Scholarship Program, DOST-SEI named 9,852 out of 73,712 (13.37%) who passed the tests. This was a record-breaking increase from previous exam, which was up by 10%. Results were released in more than five (5) months after the exam.
