Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo still free to leave PH?

Manila, Philippines - Despite the issued look-out bulletin order (LBO) versus Deniece Millinette Cornejo, Cedric Lee and three (3) others involved in the assault to Ferdinand 'Vhong Navarro', Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison said on Thursday that authorities cannot prevent Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo from leaving the country until a court issues warrant of arrest or hold departure orders against the two.

Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo still free to leave PH

It was reported that businessman Lee and model Cornejo had booked a flight to Singapore amidst the ongoing investigation of the mauling incident at The Fort, Taguig last January 22.

Records from the Philippine Airlines (PAL) reveals that flight reservation was made online, a trip to Singapore via PAL flight PR 503 which is scheduled to leave on February 6 at 7:55 a.m.

However, the transaction is not yet confirmed as payment is not yet made and it's not guaranteed that the person who booked flight are the same persons involved in the incident.

Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Leila De Lima instructed the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to be on the lookout or alert for Cornejo and Lee.

In the list of LBO includes suspects such as Cedric's sister Bernice Lee aka Marie, Cedric's business partner Ferdinand Guerrero and body builder Zimmer Rance and immediately inform her, Pros. Gen. Claro Arellano and the NBI of any attempt to leave the country.

Lee and Cornejo's lawyer Howard Calleja said the two have no plans to leave the country. Calleja said he will make sure Lee and Cornejo will be present for the resolution of case against Navarro.

Calleja also advised the public not to prejudge his clients based on the CCTV footage reviewed by the NBI.

Cayetano: Charge those involved in pork barrel (PDAF) scam

Manila - "Kapag may kasalanan, ikulong. Walang sasantuhin dito, administrasyon man o oposisyon, lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno."

Cayetano: Charge those involved in pork barrel (PDAF) scam

Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano urged the government to file charges against all those implicated in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam during the Thursday's resumption of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearing on the alleged misuse of the now scrapped Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

Kapag may nakasuhan at nakulong, we are successful graft busters. Pero kung hindi naman, at walang nasauli na pera o walang narecover, nag-fail ang gobyerno," he said.

Pointing out that the committee needs to dig deeper into the controversial issue, Cayetano cited news reports linking businesswoman and pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim-Napoles to appointed officials in government.

"I was looking into the news. They said that NABCOR [National Agribusiness Corporation] former President Allan Javellana was introduced to Napoles and whistleblower Benhur Luy by a Department of Agriculture (DA) employee named Manuel Jarmin... We found out that he is now the acting director of the Livestock Development council of DA. He has been the acting director since 2010," Cayetano disclosed.

"We dug a little bit deeper and found out that there is such a corporation as Jimmy's Bar and Grill that seems to be incorporated by Jimmy Napoles, the husband of Ms. Napoles. Apparently, even in Comelec [Commission on Elections], Manuel Recto Jarmin is listed as a nominee of an admitted Napoles party-list in 2007," he added, referring to the Samahan ng mga Mangangalakal sa Ikauunlad ng Ekonomiya (SMILE) party-list founded by the Napoleses and was allegedly part of the controversial Hello Garci Operations.

Cayetano expressed his concern over Jarmin's relations with the Napoleses and why he remains to hold a position in government.

"I believe in the sincerity of the President for the complete cleansing [of government] and going after all those who committed graft and corruption. Its time for action. Tama na ang salita at investigations. Kasuhan na at ipakulong ang mga may sala ," he said.

'Biggest Loser Doubles' reveals stories of contestants on Saturday Primer

"The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles” will reveal the inspiring stories of some of its 14 pairs of contestants who will undergo a life-changing journey to a healthier life in its primer episode this Saturday (Feb 1, 2014) on ABS-CBN.

Biggest Loser Doubles hosts and coaches

They will be introduced by the “Biggest Loser” team composed of host Iza Calzado, challenge masters Matteo Guidicelli and Robi Domingo, and fitness coaches and real-life married couple Jim and Toni Saret, who will also share how they got to be a part of the reality show and the weight loss struggles they faced when they were younger.

The primer will show the pre-camp, the first part of the competition where the 14 pairs of contestants will be asked to lose weight on their own, using only the things that are readily available in their homes and environment, for 30 days.

The 14 Pairs of overweight Filipinos Embark on Life-changing Journey

After scouring the country for pairs with heartwarming stories, “Biggest Loser Doubles” will introduce in its premiere the 14 pairs of contestants Filipinos can draw inspiration from.

Both in their early 20s, brothers Ralph and Christian are successful businessmen who joined “Biggest Loser” because they believe that the people they work with will respect them and take them more seriously if they are physically fit.

Sisters Tin and Dianne, on the other hand, are both very pretty and charming, but claim they have never had a boyfriend because of their obesity.

Married couple Carl and Kayen made a promise to each other to not only lose weight but also to become a better husband and wife for each other and become better parents to their three-year-old son.

Eating has always been siblings Bryan and Ikya’s way of bonding with each other, both believe that they started gaining weight when a doctor prescribed them “pampagana” medicines when they were kids.

Both from Cebu, the “happy and gay” Bien and his girl best friend Mai have been officemates in a call center for three years and instantly became friends because of their huge appetite for fun, food, and drinking alcohol.

Tristan and Jepoy have been friends for more than 20 years since high school. In Tanza, Cavite where they are from, they are the biggest and heaviest in their barkada.

Cousins Lovely and Carol have been witnesses to each other’s tragedies in life. Now they are on both on a quest to regain their health back for themselves and for their families.

Meanwhile, it has always been twins Chrisfer and Chesfer’s goal to get fit, a promise they made to their father before he passed away at an early age due to obesity.

Both from well-known showbiz families, Pat and Cathy are well acquainted with the limelight. Pat is the daughter of Yayo Aguila and William Martinez, while Cathy comes from the showbiz clan of the Revillas. Though their parents work in the same industry, they have never met each other and are one of the “stranger pairs” of this edition.

Cherry and Randall have been best friends since their college days in UST where they met as members of the Salinggawi Dance Troupe. After they graduated from college, both have lived their respective lives and gained weight.

The next “Biggest Loser Doubles” pair met and became friends while competing against each other at a local beauty pageant called Bilbiling Mandaluyong, a pageant for obese women, where Benzi was named the Bilbiling Mandaluyong 2012 and Ysai was named the first runner-up.

Francis and Andrew, the show’s second stranger pair, both have their families as their inspiration. Andrew wants to get fit for his girlfriend and his future kids.

Mommy Osie used to express her love for her kids through food, but this has only led to their weight gain over the years. Now, Mommy Osie wants to correct this by joining “Biggest Loser” with her daughter Nina.

Biggie turned to drugs as a means to lost weight, until it was found out one day by his girlfriend Valerie. As they continue to build their relationship, they are ready for their second chance at life.

Watch them change not only their bodies, but also their lives as they compete with each other in a bid to win P1 million, appliance showcase, P100,000 worth of sports merchandise from Toby’s, lifetime gym membership at Gold’s Gym, a kitchen showcase, among others.

“Ang Bigating Pagbabago: The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles Primer” will air after the “MMK” episode featuring Iza’s inspiring journey to health and how she bravely faced and overcame obesity.

Don’t miss the primer on Saturday (Feb 1) and the official premiere of “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles” this Monday (Feb 3), after “The Legal Wife” on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. It will regular air from Mondays to Fridays, and on Saturdays after “MMK.”

A wickedly memorable week with Nokia Asha 503 Dual Sim

Manila - Nokia Philippines recently painted the town green as it tapped some of the country’s most recognizable theater actors celebrating the arrival of another blockbuster Broadway musical in Manila’s shores.
Nokia Asha 503 Green

Thespians are always excited to witness award-winning shows that are known worldwide. When these actors were invited to watch the musical about the witches of Oz, friends from Nokia provided them with bright green Nokia Asha 503 Dual Sim phones to document their weeklong journey for the gala performance-viewing in their Emerald City costumes.

With the new Asha 503 in hand, Robbie Zialcita, Cara Barredo, Hans Eckstein, Micah Muñoz, Alessa Zialcita, Naths Everett, Ayam Barredo-Eckstein, Tristan Cheng, Eric Mercado, and Antonio Lane showed just how excited they were about this opportunity to snap and share their one of a kind experience.

For one whole week, as the local actors chose their costumes and found green items as inspiration for the special event, the Nokia Asha 503 Dual Sim allowed them to take and upload photos of those moments in a flash. They just had to swipe up the lock screen to activate the camera, and they were ready to start snapping. Sharing the photos was easy, too – they uploaded their pictures to their respective social media accounts with just one touch.

On the night of the gala, the actors who have performed with top theater groups including Repertory Philippines, Atlantis Productions, 4th Wall Theater Company, and Trumpets, arrived sporting their costumes with matching green Asha 503s. With its bold-colored core encased in a crystal-clear shell, the Asha 503 stood out with its unique design. It was the perfect accessory that tied together the local actors’ enchanting looks.

Tristan Cheng, who was last seen in “The Producers” and “Rivalry” said, “What I liked about the whole Nokia Asha experience, besides having a phone to use, was being able to meet new friends and fellow thespians; capturing great moments with them. (The) phone was awesome. It was compact and smooth, perfect for people looking for a classy yet affordable phone.”

The Nokia Asha 503 Dual Sim is packed with useful features, such as Fastlane, which logs what the user has been upto and helps him or her to seamlessly switch between apps. It keeps track of his/her recent apps, games, music, social media notifications and more in a single interface; and the Nokia Xpress Browser, which allows users to browse the web faster while saving on data. These features came in very handy as the actors took selfies in front of photowalls set up at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and snapshots with the touring show’s cast members and other famous personalities at the after party.

Line, LinkedIn, WeChat, and other great apps that matter to users are also available on the Nokia Asha 503 Dual Sim, so staying in touch with friends is super easy. And with a gift of ten free games, users can give boredom the brush-off.

“The Asha experience fired up my love for Nokia. It reminded me how Nokia was always easy to use while supplying me with the hip and happening applications of today,” said Repertory Philippines baby, Cara Barredo.

Micah Muñoz, also known for his role on ABS-CBN’s “Be Careful with my Heart” shared, “had a wicked awesome time with my Asha, it’s handy and trendy; fit for any cool cat out there.”

Here's the statement of Deniece Cornejo:

“Isa lang po masasabi ko. If you want justice, I’ll give you the real justice.

As much as possible, gusto kong maging pribado buhay ko at ayokong lumaki nang ganito.

“I’ve consulted my lawyer. Pero for now, medyo nato-trauma ako sa mga ganyang ugali at saka pangyayari."

Before the end of interview, Deniece clarified that Vhong is not courting her and admitted that she is related to a top executive in another network.

Cedric Lee said he and his sister and another male friend went to Deniece’s condo at the Fort, at around 10:00 in the evening of January 22, 2014 to pick her up when they heard her screaming from outside her door. They went inside her condo and fortunately the door is unlocked and into her room where they saw Vhong on top of a struggling Deniece.

“Ang instinct ko I grabbed him from the back and hinila ko pababa ng kama.

Cedric further said that they wanted to take Vhong to the police station but Vhong was fighting back, even taking a punch at them until they had no choice but to punch back, “hanggang sa naupakan at nagkabasag-basag na ang mukha niya.” Lee also said that afterwards they had to restrain him with duct tape around his wrists and feet.

He also said it was Vhong who requested for them not to make things public because of what it might do to his career and he also doesn’t know how he is going to explain the incident to his kids.

Here's the full transcript of Buzz ng Bayan Tell-All Interview with Vhong Navarro (courtesy of ABS-CBN News) :

From P200,000, to P500,000 umabot pa ng P1 million at sinagad pa nila ng P2 million.

Tatawag daw sila at magte-text kung saang bank account and saang bangko.

BA: Ano ba talaga ang nagyari? Paano kayo nagkita? Ang daming lumalabas na mga kwento. Diumano’y ikaw ay na-set up.

Niyaya niya ako umakyat, may dala akong white wine dahil sabi niya kasi 'yun lang ang pwede niyang inumin.

BA: Magkaibigan ba kayo ni Deniece?

VN: Opo, kakilala ko na po siya two years ago pa.

BA: So ano ang intensyon mo ng pagdalaw mo nung January 17? Was it upon her invitation?

VN: Invitation niya po.

BA: First time ba ito or nangyari na ba ito dati?

VN: First time ulit naming magkikita after namin mag-meet two years ago.

BA: Was it a friendly meeting?

VN: Yes.

BA: Hindi mo girlfriend?

VN: No.

BA: So pagdating mo doon, sinalubong ka sa lobby, umakyat kayo.

VN: Opo. Sinamahan niya ako hanggang pagpasok. Nag-inuman kami.

BA: After that, nag-usap? Paano kayo naghiwalay?

So sinara niya, ni-lock niya.

From bad boy, biglang sweet na.

BA: These are text messages? Nasa iyo ito?

VN: Binura nila.

BA: Ilan sila?

Parang ganun.

VN: 'Yung pulis, kaya lang kasama 'yung Mike, may isa pang lalaki and mayroon pang isa. Kasama po nila itong mga sumama. Binaba nila ako sa kotse ko. Kumatok pa yung Mike tapos sabi, ‘O mag-ingat kayo.’

VN: January 23.

BA: Ang inyong agreement ay ibibigay ang?

VN: Ang pera ng January 23.

BA: May oras?

May binigay silang bangko. After nun, kumatok yung Mike tapos sabi nung Mike, ‘O ingat kayo.’

Anything can happen.

Pwedeng mangyari ulit.

Wala akong assurance kung ilalabas ba nila 'yung video or what.

Sabi niya lang, ‘I’m sorry, Vhong.’

VN: Yes.

BA: Vhong, anong natutunan mo dito?

"2 beses akong nagpunta doon. Nagpunta ako Friday, Jan. 17 (10:45PM). Sinundo ako sa lobby. Tapos nag-inom kami."

Wala akong kalmot o sugat.

"I want justice for this incident", Vhong emphasized.

On Saturday, another speculation behind the attack surfaced as GMA-7’s “24 Oras Weekend' reported that comedian-TV host was involved in an attempted rape incident as seen in a complaint filed before the Taguig police on Wednesday (January 22).

Signature of Ferdinand Navarro's (Vhong's real name) is allegedly on the police blotter filed by an unidentified 22-year-old student.

According to the complainant, Vhong came to her condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. While inside the unit, the woman got surprised when the comedian allegedly touched her hand and pulled her hair.

The complainant claimed to have fought back and ran to seek help. Vhong supposedly chased after her, forcibly pushed her to bed as the TV host attempted to pull down her shorts.

In additional, two men allegedly came in and made a “citizen arrest” to rescue their friend from Vhong’s advances. The report said that the woman agreed not to pursue case against the TV host.

Chito Roño's statement for the incident

Vhong Navarro's manager Chito Roño also released his statement regarding the issue of attempted rape. Roño dismissed the blotter's authencity and said it was not found in any precinct in Taguig on Friday.

"The police chief was reported to have denied it existed. We are as keen as you are how GMA got it."

On Friday, Roño informed ABS-CBN News that his talent was invited by a female friend to the condominium unit, where the actor was allegedly tied up, blindfolded, threatened, and attacked by the group of men.

Nursing and teaching are among the top five most heavily subscribed programs in college, along with criminology, accounting and civil engineering, wherein graduates must first pass a national licensure examination before they can properly practice their profession.
