This after the allegations on social media that Deniece is the grand daughter of one of the GMA-7 big bosses. Netizens emphasized that GMA Network reports that the It's Showtime host is a 'rapist' and in favor to the fashion model on the case.

Update: Deniece Cornejo in an interview of TV Patrol admitted that she is related to a top executive of another network.

“Lolo ko po ‘yung isa sa mga matataas na posisyon sa kabilang network,” Deniece said.

It calls the attention of the network since some trending topics on Twitter Philippines such as #GMAPhilippinesWorstNetwork and Dear GMA give negative impact to the company.

"The report about the alleged attempted rape was based on the blotter filed at the Investigative Section of the Southern Police District where Vhong Navarro was taken after the incident. Other news organizations also reported it.", GMA network added.
