IATF earlier said that no areas in the country will transition to new normal in the coming days to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The IATF had a long deliberation on Monday to revisit strategies in combating COVID-19 to ensure that there is a balance between health and economy.

"Ang importante, mabuksan ang ekonomiya para makabangon na tayo from lockdown," Roque said.

Another recommendation of the IATF is to boost confidence of people to go back to work and restore consumption demand.

Testing strategy shall be expanded to include other segments of the population.

The government is also planning to consult the local units on moving up the economy of Region III, Region IV-A and NCR.

As of June 30, the Philippines has logged 37,514 cases of novel coronavirus along with a death toll 1,266 and 10,233 total recoveries.
