MANILA, Philippines – Crowd favorite University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad is hoping to reclaim the glory in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition (CDC) on Saturday, November 17, 2019.
UP Pep Squad is expected to make its way back to the top three and even for their ninth title.

"Celebrating its 20th year as one of the most iconic, deviant, and all-Filipino cheer in the history of the UP, we give the "Unibersidad ng Pilipinas" its much deserved recognition.
"A true anthem of UP's brave, renegade, and creative identity, it's with great honor that we get to reimagine the cheer with another original chant from National Artist and fellow Matatapang Matatalino alumnus, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab," the UP Varsity Pep Squad shared on Facebook.
UP is third in the order of performance.

The UP Pep Squad, which holds the most number of podium finishes at 20, settled for sixth spot in last year's CDC.
UP Pep Squad is tied with University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe with the most championships with eight titles each.
