MANILA, Philippines – Classes have been suspended in several areas for Monday, November 18, 2019 due to inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Ramon (Kalmaegi).

In the 11:00 am bulletin on Sunday, PAGASA said 'Bagyong Ramon' continues to move north northwesterward slowly.

On Monday, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains may be experienced over mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga and Ilocos Norte. Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over the Babuyan Islands, Abra, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Northern Aurora, and Quirino.

Tropical cyclone warning signal No. 1 (30-60 km/h Expected in 36 hours) is up over the areas of Cagayan including Babuyan Island, Isabela, and northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan).

  • Cagayan - all levels, public and private

According to the automatic class suspension guideline by DepEd, the local government units (LGUs) have the authority to declare local suspensions in areas where there is no storm signal.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes in the tertiary level especially in the private institutions will be at discretion of school administrators.
