Miss Universe 2025 Format
Similar to the 2024 edition, thirty (30) semifinalists were selected through the preliminary competition, which included the national costume showcase, swimsuit and evening gown segments, as well as closed-door interviews.
Pageant co-owner Raúl Rocha confirmed that the organization is retaining this format, emphasizing that it promotes "fairness and transparency" in evaluating all contestants.
The thirty semifinalists will first compete in the swimsuit round, where only twelve (12) contestants will advance to the evening gown competition.
From the evening gown round, five (5) contestants will move forward to the selection committee’s question-and-answer segment. Afterward, the field will be narrowed to the final three (3), who will face the last Q&A round before the winner and her two runners-up are announced.

What an exciting Miss Universe 2025 lineup. Huge congratulations to Fátima Bosch of Mexico for winning the crown—well-deserved. Thailand’s Praveenar Singh and Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali also shined brightly. And of course, the Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo making it to 3rd Runner-up plus winning Best National Costume is truly impressive.
