Her appearance in the national costume round quickly became a highlight, with Filipino fans eagerly cheering her on as she represented the country with grace and power.

Designed by acclaimed Filipino couturier Mak Tumang, “Festejada” paid homage to the Philippines’ grand fiestas while celebrating the artistry of traditional Filipino craftsmanship.

The ensemble drew inspiration from the classic traje de mestiza, honoring Maria Clara as a symbol of Filipina virtue, dignity, and timeless elegance.

Crafted from hand-embroidered piña, the costume showcased the meticulous work of artisans whose skills have been passed down through generations.

The dramatic skirt, composed of more than 65,000 petals, unified the stories of the country’s most cherished festivals in one breathtaking visual spectacle.

Elements from Pampanga’s Giant Lantern Festival, Lucban’s colorful Pahiyas celebration, and Baguio’s flower-filled Panagbenga Festival were seamlessly woven into the design.

Ahtisa described the costume as a tribute to the collective heartbeat of the Filipino spirit—festive, hopeful, resilient, and rooted deeply in heritage.

On Instagram, she wrote that with every step, she becomes “the living festival of the Philippines,” carrying the brilliance and warmth of Filipino culture onto the world stage.

The 74th Miss Universe pageant features 120 candidates under the theme “The Power of Love,” placing immense weight on preliminary performances.

Ahtisa, who previously finished first runner-up in Miss International 2018, is determined to claim the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.

Her strong showing in the National Costume Competition has further fueled excitement as she moves closer to coronation night on November 21.

With the universe watching, the Philippines stands united in hope that Ahtisa Manalo will make history once again.
