NQESH Top Passers: May 2024 Principals' Test Results

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) named the topnotchers or top performers in the May 2024 Principals' Test.

The examination was administered on May 26, 2024 (Sunday) through a secure online platform at designated examination sites across the country. Meanwhile, the conduct of NQESH in all testing sites in Regions 5 (Bicol region) and Region 8 (Eastern Visayas) was rescheduled to June 2, 2024 (Sunday).

It is DepEd's mechanism to select school heads in the public education sector - a qualifying process for interested applicants to Principal I positions and being implemented in coordination with the Schools Divisions Offices (DOs) through the Regional Offices (ROs).

PREVIOUS EXAMINATION

In the 2022 NQESH/Principals' Test, DepEd released results in about three (3) months after the exams. Takers were categorized according to their qualification status. A total of 2,203 out of 5,954 (37%) tagged as ELIGIBLE to the next stage for Principal I positions. Arlen Jumamoy from Region 11 (Panabo City) topped the exams on national level.

In the 2017 Principals' Test, only 5,111 out of 20,653 (24.75%) successfully hurdled the exam. Results were released in more than five (5) months after the test. Grant B. Gubatan from Region 1 and Rhoda O. Dela Cruz from Region 4A tied on top spot.

In the 2016 exams, only 388 successfully passed the test. Results were out after six (6) months. Christian N. Sango of Region XI topped the passers.

In the October 2015 exam, 2,195 out of more than 19,000 takers passed the test. Results were released online in less than 3 months after the exam. Erwin John Santos (Region 3) and Garry Vacunawa (Region 8) garnered aced the test.
