MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN's flagship news program 'TV Patrol' is back just few days after the order of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to halt airing on Channel 2.

The surprise return online on Thursday earned more than 8 million views in just few hours. As more Filipinos are relying on Kapamilya Network's news program, check out on this page for livestream video for tonight's (May 8) news delivery.


While the franchise issue is not yet settled, 'TV Patrol' will be streaming on ABS-CBN News' official website and pages on Facebook and YouTube, ANC, and the streaming service iWant. It will also air live via The Filipino Channel (TFC) abroad.

On Facebook, concurrent users on Thursday peaked to 218,000 garnering 7.5 million views. Meanwhile, the program earned 720,000 views with 73,000 people at the same time on YouTube.


TV Patrol also dominated Twitter trends as netizens celebrated the comeback of the 33-year-old news program.
