MANILA, Philippines – For the fourth presentation of Magpasikat 2019, the team of Vhong Navarro and Mariel Rodriguez took us in a futuristic time travel.
Team Vhong and Mariel was with Dawn Chang, Zeus Collins and other members of the Hashtags to render a heartwarming presentation dedicated to senior citizens.

Vhong posed the question to the madlang people, "Minsan kahit may edad na tayo, ang gusto natin ay nagagawa pa rin natin nang puwedeng magawa [noon], 'yun ang gusto sana naming palabasin. Siyempre, di mawawala ang ating 'Showtime' family. Ano ba ang itsura natin after 40 years?"
To open their dance presentation, Vhong led the colorful dancing of "madlang androids" or human robots. He then tried to entertain a group of senior citizens, who are supposed to be the It's Showtime hosts in old age.
Since Vhong is a dancer, their presentation was full of rock solid dance performances.
A powerful dance number was presented by Riva with Hashtags Wilbert, Jameson, Tom and Vitto. Followed by an eerie but thrilling dance from Hashtags Maru, Jimboy, Luke and Nikko.
Hashtags Zeus and Dawn Chang made the audience shriek as they danced under a shower. Vhong took over the stage and went for a solo performance under the pouring water.
Vhong went for a monologue saying goodbye to the "old" It's Showtime hosts and asked them for their traditional group hug.
Everyone started to encircle, cross hands until their group hug turned to a big shape of a heart.
Their outstanding performance was met with a standing ovation by the hurados.
Hurado Rachel Arenas said the backdrop and the concept were all very good.
Shirley Halili-Cruz only had praises for the team. She said it was "Amazing, sobra!"
Andy Alvis, a known choreographer praised how the dance were presented calling it "napakalinis." He said, "Minsan kapag futuristic concepts dati minsan magulo, nagiging boring pero ito hindi nawala ang artistry, hindi nawala ang magandang choreography, hindi nawala ang emotion. Naiiyak nga kami eh."
Back in 2017, Vhong had won the grand champion for his presentation focused on the sadness of being alone. He also had no partner but was joined by guests Hashtags Nikko, Tom, Bugoy, and Kid, and GirlTrends Erin and Joana.
