The group goes on to portray Korea's version of "It's Showtime" complete with K-pop acts. The "Tawag ng Tanghalan" idols John Mark Saga, Janine Berdin and Elaine Duran sang a Korean ballad while another performance went all out for a Blackpink number.

The highlight of their show was when Ryan went for a silver hair and became a hip-hop star. He also showed off his rapping skills by sharing his touching life story, sharing how he persevered in showbiz.

The hurados shared big words for the team. MTRCB Chair Rachel Arenas said, "Their production number parang nanood ako ng original Broadway.”

Shirley Halili-Cruz said, "The performance as a whole was very, very good."

Andy Alvis said, "Naiiyak ako sa totoo lang." He said their performance reminded him of "triumph of the human spirit."

Diether Ocampo chided Ryan for not winning in Magpasikat for 10 years but said, "baka this is your time."

Joel Cruz said their show felt like it was an ABS-CBN Christmas special. He said the message was about positivity, "walang pait."

Their team sure has big shoes to fill in as Karylle won the grand prize last year with Jhong Hilario. Their "insect love story" captivated the audience. Ryan, however, has yet to win and is looking forward for his first ever this year.
