Meet 5 richest personalities in the Philippines and their luxury cars

MANILA, Philippines - If there's anything Filipinos love more than anything, it's their celebrities. In turn, these celebrities love being in the spotlight of the masses, so they don't shy away from displaying themselves on TV, print, radio, the big screen, and more especially the social networks like Instagram and Facebook. It’s common for these local stars to show off how lavish their assets have become: big houses, large bank accounts, six to seven-digit talent fees, and even luxury cars.

Let's look at some of the most popular Filipino celebrities and their expensive cars!

Willie Revillame

Who can even doubt that this TV host is rich? He has a collection of houses in rich neighborhoods, yachts, and a large garage full of luxury cars. Among his collection of expensive cars are a Ferrari 458, Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche Carrera Turbo, Lincoln Navigator, Jaguar XJ, and a Hummer H2. Let's not forget he also owns a PHP 70-million yacht and a private plane. All in all, his collection amounts to billions of pesos. Reportedly, however, he is selling one of his cars for PHP 25 million.

Manny Pacquiao

The Pambansang Kamao also has a sizeable car collection bought with his boxing prize money. Who could blame him? After winning so many matches, we'd start our own car collection, too. Pacquiao is said to have around 22 cars, which include a Mercedes SLK, an armored Hummer, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, a Lincoln Navigator, and a Mitsubishi Pajero. That short list is already millions of dollars worth of cars!

Arnell Ignacio

Former TV host Arnell Ignacio loves classic cars. He actually now has a bridal car renting business that uses his classic car collection, which includes a 1965 Lincoln Continental that was formerly owned by Fernando Poe, Jr., and a 1993 Lincoln Continental. He restored and refurbished the two cars. Aside from his classics, he also has a 2000 Porsche Carrera, a 1985 Mercedes Benz 280E, a Ferrari 360 Modena, and a Hummer. Sure, he's spent a fortune on those cars, but he's also receiving a fortune in return from his bridal car rental business!

Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP)

Successful entrepreneur and business tycoon, Manny V. Pangilinan, otherwise known as MVP, earned his fortunes by becoming PLDT, Meralco, and TV5's big boss. In 2013, he purchased the Philippines' first electric car, the Tesla Model S, for PHP 4.2 million. Despite owning an electric car, however, MVP has a bit of trouble driving his Tesla around the country because of the lack of Tesla re-charging stations, as well as the LTO being unable to categorize electric cars. However, with the rise of the availability of electric vehicles in the country, we might be seeing more than just MVP’s Tesla along the roads of the Metro.

Toni Gonzaga

Popular TV host and actress Toni Gonzaga surprisingly has a lot of luxury cars to her name. She had bought herself a BMW as a birthday present in 2007, a Lincoln Continental Mark III given to her when she was endorsing Careline products, and a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Because of these cars she owns, it's been said that she is one of the richest celebrities in the Philippines.

That's just some of the Filipino celebrities with their fancy, luxury cars! With how expensive these cars are, we can just imagine how much they spend on car insurance, upkeep, and even gasoline. (Can you imagine how much Manny Pacquiao’s car insurance provider must be profiting?) I’d bet Still, who can blame them? They live by the old saying that most Filipinos keep close to their hearts: if you got it, flaunt it!

  1. Be polite, but do not waste anyone's time. Contact the buyer through phone call when possible. If it's a smokin' deal, it will NOT last on Craigslist. The phone is the quickest and most direct method. Do not dilly dally around and have the sweet deal scooped up by a car dealer! fuel usage calculator
