MANILA, Philippines – The June 2026 Civil Service Exam results for Penology Officers (POE) will be released on July 16, 2026, forty (40) calendar days after the exam. View here the list of passers per region.
A total of 10,812 examinees took the Penology Officer Examination (POE) on Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced.
CSC also conducted Fire Officers Examination (FOE) on the same day.
The CSC said that the Penology Officer Eligibility is specific and appropriate for second level ranks in the jail management and penology services and other functionally related services. The appropriateness of this eligibility, though, does not include ranks under the Philippine National Police.

Release of Results
The CSC issued Examination Advisory No. 08, s. 2026 on July 6 confirming release of results on July 16.
To quote, CSC said: Please be advised that the List of Passers for the 07 June 2026 FOE and POE shall be posted on the CSC Website www.csc.gov.ph | Examination Results by 16 July 2026. The posting shall also include the Top Passers1 at the national level.
Passing Grade
To pass the test, an examinee should get a general rating of at least 80.00.
Scope of Examination
The scope of examination for the POE covers General Ability weighing 50% and Specialized Area at 50% (concepts of jail management and operations, rules and standards for the treatment of persons deprived of liberty, special laws and other related laws and rules).
Verification of Rating
Examinees, both passed and failed, can generate their individual test result using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) by July 27, 2026. Please note that no report of rating shall be mailed to individual examinees.
Examinees are advised to be ready with their Examinee Number as it will be required in accessing their individual rating. Moreover, examinees should encode/fill in the required data in the corresponding data fields under the personal information, and the details of examination (i.e., date, type, and place of examination) accurately, following the illustrated/indicated format therein.
Certificate of Eligibility
Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.
About the Exam
CSC Chairperson Marilyn B. Yap noted that both examinations aim to ensure that qualified and competent individuals are selected for critical public safety roles, consistent with the merit and fitness principles of the civil service.
“These examinations form part of the government’s continuing efforts to professionalize the uniformed services and strengthen institutional capability in fire protection and corrections administration. We want to ensure that we attract individuals willing to serve with puso, dangal, at galing,” said Chairperson Yap.
