MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. delivers his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, July 27, 2026, at the Plenary Hall of the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.
Under the Constitution, the Chief Executive is mandated to report on the state of the nation, outline the government's priorities for the coming year, and propose legislative measures before a joint session of Congress every fourth Monday of July.
President Marcos' SONA is expected to last around 1 hour and 20 minutes, according to Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

The traditional ceremony is expected to begin at 4:00 p.m., with the President arriving either by air or land.
SONA 2026 will be available via special coverage and livestream on state-run PTV, the Presidential Communications Facebook page, and the Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) Facebook page and YouTube channel.
As in previous years, RTVM will direct the official production and centralized livestream of President Marcos' penultimate SONA.

The House of Representatives expects around 2,000 invited guests to attend this year's SONA.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chorale will perform the Philippine national anthem during the ceremony.
The full text of President Marcos' speech, also known as the "President's Report to the People," is expected to be released online shortly after the address, or around 6:00 p.m.
President Marcos' first SONA ran for 1 hour and 14 minutes, followed by 1 hour and 11 minutes in 2023. His third address was the longest at 1 hour and 21 minutes, while his fourth lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes.
