MANILA, Philippines – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is expected to release the results of the scholarship examination for Academic Year (AY) 2026–2027 soon. View the list of qualifiers (passers) here.
The new scholars are beneficiaries of the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP).
The EDSP is OWWA's competitive educational assistance program where dependents of qualified OWWA member-OFWs vie for a slot by passing the annual qualifying examination conducted by the Department of Science and Technology–Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI). Only the top 400 passers are considered for entry as freshmen, while 600 slots are allocated for those who are already enrolled in college.
The examination was held on February 21 and 22, and March 7 and 8, across 222 testing centers nationwide.
Note: The results of the DOST Scholarship Exam for AY 2026–2027 were released on May 30.

The EDSP is one of the regular programs of OWWA where qualified dependents of active member-OFWs may take any four- or five-year course leading to a college degree. An allowance of ₱60,000 per school year is given to each EDSP scholar, along with training and other learning enhancement activities.
Meanwhile, the CMWSP is a scholarship program extended to deserving migrant workers and/or their immediate dependents who intend to pursue courses in priority fields in Science and Technology. It provides an allowance of ₱60,120 per year.
