MANILA, Philippines – The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2026 pageant culminated on Saturday, May 2, at the Mall of Asia Arena, where a new queen was crowned to represent the country at the Miss Universe 2026 competition.

Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned by Maria Ahtisa Manalo. She will go on to compete in the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, set to take place in Puerto Rico this November.

This year’s competition features 50 delegates from across the country and introduces a revamped format. The pageant held a month-long preliminary competition, with semifinalists determined through a combination of judges’ scores and public voting.

Road to the Crown

Ahead of coronation night, 10 candidates have already secured spots in the semifinals after topping the third preliminary voting round on the “U Vote” platform via Maya.

Another semifinalist will be named Best in Swimsuit, also determined through online voting, and will be announced during the live show.

They will be joined by:

  • 10 candidates with the highest scores from the selection committee
  • 5 brand award winners
  • 5 wildcard picks

All of them will advance to the semifinal round.

Adding a new interactive twist, viewers worldwide will help shape the results through real-time online voting, effectively becoming part of the judging panel.

Competition Format

  • Semifinalists compete in the swimsuit round, trimming the field to 15 candidates
  • The evening gown competition follows, narrowing the finalists to 7
  • From this group, the winner and her runners-up will be announced

Special Guests and Performers

International drag superstar Marina Summers returns to the Miss Universe Philippines stage—this time as host. She previously performed in the opening number of the 2024 edition.

Joining the celebration tonight are Marco Gumabao, Gabbi Carballo, Rabiya Mateo, Kirk Bondad, Yllana Aduana, Ralph De Leon, Kat Llegado, Swann Lavigne, Veena Praveenar, Jake Cuenca, Sergio Azuaga, Kitt Cortez, and Celeste Cortesi.

Singer Jason Dy and P-pop boy group BGYO are set to perform during the show.

Also gracing the event are international pageant personalities, including:
