This makes her the seventh winner under the relatively new MUPH organization led by Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida.
During the final question-and-answer segment, all Top 7 candidates were asked: “Many Filipinos are growing frustrated with the country. For you, why is it still worth representing the Philippines on the global stage?”
Millan-Windorski answered, “The Philippines is something and a place that I've been in love with my whole life. Growing up in a predominantly non-diverse part of the United States, I was identified as Filipina first and foremost. I often had to point where the Philippines was on a map to my peers, and I always felt a sense of belonging and home.”
“I chose to pack my life into balikbayan boxes and suitcases because I believe in the limitless potential of the Filipino people, and the fact that we need to create local opportunities here so that people don't have to go abroad and be separated from their families in order to survive and thrive. If I were given the title of Miss Universe Philippines, I promise to be a public servant for all,” she added.
Completing the Top 7 were Jenrose Javier of Sultan Kudarat, Apriel Smith of Cebu City, Marian Arellano of Tarlac, Ysabella Roxas Ysmael of Taguig, Nicole Borromeo of Cebu Province, and Allyson Arceo Hetland of Pampanga.
Windorski's predecessor, Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province, was crowned Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up in Thailand in November 2025.
The Philippines is considered a pageant powerhouse for its consistent semi-final placement in Miss Universe.
Four Filipinas have so far won the crown: Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
