MANILA, Philippines – The Sandiganbayan issued arrest warrants Monday against former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and six others for malversation linked to an alleged P92.8-million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.

Revilla was detained Tuesday at the Quezon City Jail in Barangay Payatas as he faces the same malversation case.

He was placed under temporary detention in the jail’s male dormitory while awaiting the Sandiganbayan’s decision on his request to be transferred to the PNP custodial facility at Camp Crame.

Revilla surrendered to the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame Monday night.

The National Bureau of Investigation served arrest warrants to former Bulacan first district engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza at the Senate on Monday evening.

Also arrested were former DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office Engr. Arjay Domasig and finance section chief Juanito Mendoza.

Another co-accused, DPWH Bulacan First District cashier Christina Pineda, was arrested early Tuesday morning in Barangay Bangao, Buguias, Benguet.

Only former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Emelita Juat remains at large.
