"Day 1 starts today," he said on his Instagram account.

In his post, the actor is seen proudly donning his cadet uniform and posing with his family at the induction ceremony, marking the official beginning of his flight training.

In an interview on GMA’s flagship newscast ‘24 Oras,’ Alden shared that he has long been fascinated by the field of aviation.

"I've always been so curious paano lumilipad ang ganoong kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid. Tapos of course how it is being navigated sa langit, ganyan, from point A to point B, paano nakakarating, paano nagte-takeoff," he shared.

Alden also disclosed that enrolling in flight school is his way of realizing a dream his father once had.

"Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime. And surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman dream ni dad for himself, eventually nagustuhan ko na rin," he explained.

Despite his hectic showbiz commitments, Alden remains confident that he can juggle both his career and aviation studies through proper time management.

Alden believes that having a hectic or busy schedule is not a valid excuse to stop pursuing what you want. According to him, the key lies in effective time management.

"There's no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is the key. Definitely this year for ground school and then tuloy-tuloy na 'to,” he said.

“This will be a two-year course and after I graduate, I'm gonna be able to fly a commercial plane," he emphasized.

Alden first announced his enrollment in the aviation school back in April.
