MANILA, Philippines – Classes on Friday, July 25, 2025, have been cancelled in several areas due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and tropical cyclones 'Dante' and 'Emong'.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday at 11:00 a.m. that 'Emong' intensified into a typhoon as it continues to move slowly over the West Philippine Sea. It was estimated based on all available data at 220 km West Southwest of Bacnotan, La Union or 210 km West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm 'Dante' maintains strength as it approaches Ryukyu Islands. At 10:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm 'Dante' was estimated based on all available data at 735 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes
