MANILA, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is receiving a flood of reactions and comments over its style of posting announcements related to weather conditions and class suspensions.

One such post was an advisory on the DILG's official Facebook page, in which the agency admitted it had been “lousy” in suspending classes due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon in Metro Manila and nearby areas and provinces.

This was followed by a message directed at Laguna Governor Sol Aragones, criticizing the alleged failure to suspend classes in Laguna.

"Sa bago kong BFF Sol,"

"Bakit ba ganyan?"

Basta kung ano ang desisyon mo, back up ako 100%."

"Oh ayan. Good luck!" it says.

Next came the new announcement regarding the widespread suspension of classes and government work on Wednesday, July 23.

“Mga Abangers,” it says.

This is when netizens grew even more critical, joined by celebrities Jake Ejercito and Jessy Mendiola.

“There’s a time and place for trying to be funny— this isn’t one of them,” Jake said.

“Is this supposed to be funny?” Jessy reacted.
