MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the schedule and opening of applications for the September 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
According to PRC, applications will be scheduled per category based on the implementation of the PRC-CHED Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) signed on April 10, 2025 aligning LEPT with the current teacher education curricula.
The application period will run from June 23, 2025 (Monday) to August 11, 2025, for both first-time and repeater applicants who hold a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) without specialization, as well as those with a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) in any of the six major fields.
Meanwhile, PRC said application period will be announced later for those under the new curriculum and applicants with Bachelor in MAPEH.

The Commission refers to the implementation of competency-based, equitable, and sustainable teacher certification system beginning the September 2025 LET.
Each exam will evaluate three key areas: general education, professional education, and the specialized field aligned with the teacher’s area of training.
This initiative of the government marks a departure from the uniform exam format established in 1996, aligning tests directly with specific teacher training programs for the first time.
