MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will announce on Wednesday, May 14, the results of May 2025 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) or nursing board exam, including the list of top performing schools and performance of schools.

PRC administered the first regular nurse licensure exam this year on May 5 and 6, 2025 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Ilocos Sur.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the November 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam (PNLE), 11 schools tied on highest place for the top performing list. This includes University of Santo Tomas (UST), Xavier University, Cebu Doctors University, Velez College, Angeles University Foundation, Bicol University - Legazpi, Saint Paul University-Iloilo, West Visayas State University - La Paz and Central Mindanao University, all with 100% passing rate. Far Eastern University-Manila followed with 99.82%.

In the May 2024 PNLE, Cavite State University (CavSU), Southern Luzon State University - Lucban and University of Mindanao - Davao City tied on top spot with 100% passing rate. Gordon College came in second place with 98.99%.

In the November 2023 PNLE, 17 schools registered 100% passing rate, including University of Santo Tomas (UST) with 300 passers, Velez College with 234 passers and Cebu Doctors University with 209 passers. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) ranked second with 99.49% or 197 out of 198 passed.

In the May 2023 Nursing Licensure Exams, SLSU-Lucban, PLM, Angeles University Foundation (AUF), CavSU and Bukidnon State University tied on highest place with 100% passing rate. University of Pangasinan came in second with 99.40%.

In the November 2022 Nursing Licensure Exams, 19 schools tied on highest spot with 100% passing rate. Top performing schools include Saint Louis University (SLU), UST, Xavier University, among others.

SCHEDULE OF INITIAL REGISTRATION

Online registration for new passers/successful examinees for license issuance will be conducted on the following date/s: To be announced (TBA)

Initial registrants are advised to register via the official website of PRC and follow instructions for initial registration. Here are the requirements:

  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

All examinees of the May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam (PNLE), successful and unsuccessful, may verify their ratings online in few working days after the posting of results.

Refer to PRC Official Website to check your board exam ratings or score.

The examinee is required to provide only the exam name, examination date, application number, first name, last name, and date of birth.

OATH-TAKING DETAILS

The PRC will announce oathtaking schedules in few days after the release of exam results, and those attending in person must register by noon the day before via https://online.prc.gov.ph.

Inductees must print and bring their personalized Oath Form with a QR code for attendance tagging; those unable to attend in person can opt for an online or special oathtaking.

Following the ceremony, inductees must schedule their Initial Registration online through the same portal.

EXAM COVERAGE

The two-day exam covered competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows: patient care, empowering, enabling and enhancing competencies.

The five (5) parts of the NLE are the following:

  • Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
  • Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
  • Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
  • Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
  • Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)
