With the discontinuation of Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc's noontime show on GMA's main channel early this month, the network opted to air local movies to temporarily fill their noontime slot.

In June of last year, the Kapamilya noontime program made a historic move when it signed a contract with GMA Network’s GTV channel. This happened as they declined TV5 offer to move the show to a delayed telecast at 4:30 p.m. to give way to the new show to be hosted by "Eat Bulaga!" mainstays Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.

"It's Showtime" currently airs on GTV from Monday to Saturday at 12 p.m.
