4Ps stands for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, which is a flagship poverty alleviation program in the Philippines initiated by the government. The program provides cash grants to the poorest households in the country, conditional upon their compliance with certain health and education requirements. Its primary objectives are to reduce poverty and promote human capital development among disadvantaged families.

Marichu Abregana from Canbantug, Argao, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BEED) from Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Argao Campus, was overwhelmed with joy upon learning that she ranked among the top performers in the September 2023 LET. Abregana, who also graduated Magna Cum Laude, achieved a remarkable rating of 94% in the exam.

Marichu, the second among four siblings, reportedly worked hard to complete her studies, aiming to eventually support her family, particularly her father who works as a farmer, and her mother who is a homemaker.

They mentioned that the 4Ps program truly helped them. They're also grateful for their eldest sibling who assists them with their financial needs, especially since it's not just Marichu who's studying, but also her two younger siblings.

On her Facebook post on January 29, 2024, Marichu shared that she was given the opportunity to become a review lecturer at a review center for aspiring educators like herself who dream of becoming full-fledged teachers.

“I hope I imparted valuable concepts to the reviewees, and praying for a positive result for all of them,” she said.

Congratulations, Teacher Marichu!
