Performance of schools: August-September 2022 Mining Engineer licensure exam results

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday, September 19 the top performing schools in the August - September 2022 Mining Engineer board exam.

PRC and the Board of Mining Engineering administered the licensure exam (MELE) on August 24, 25, and 26, 2022 in the cities of Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legaspi.

The exams in Manila was postponed due to the inclement weather brought by typhoon “Florita." It was later rescheduled to September 12, 13 and 14, 2022.

Here's the performance of schools in the August-September 2022 Mining Engineer Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation":



PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the August 2021 Mining Engineer board exam, Bicol University - Legazpi was the lone top performing school with 85.29% passing rate or 29 out of 34 passed.

In the pre-pandemic era (August 2019), University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman topped the schools with 100% passing rate or all 35 takers passed. Mindanao State University - Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) ranked second with 97.44%.

In the August 2018 MELE, Saint Louis University (SLU) led the schools with 85.54% or 71 out of 83 passed. Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) - University ranked second with 80.36% or 45 out of 56 passed.
