FULL RESULTS: March 13, 2022 Civil Service Exam CSE-PPT list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – (Out May 16, 2022) The March 2022 Civil Service Exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) full list of passers and topnotchers (top 10) for professional and sub-professional level are released online on May 12, 2022 or in sixty (60) calendar days after the exam.

As announced, 12,179 out of 70,833 (17.19%) successfully passed the examinations - 9,651 out of 56,980 (16.94%) for the professional level and 2,528 passers out of 13,853 examinees (18.25%) for the sub-professional level.

In terms of region, the highest passing rate was recorded in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) with 104 passers out of 321 examinees or 32.40%. Caraga came in second with 578 passers out of 2,182 examinees or 26.49%, closely followed by the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with 1,110 passers out of 4,245 examinees or 26.15%.

Held on March 13, 2022 CSE-PPT in 77 testing centers, it was the biggest conduct of the civil service exams in a single day since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

Earlier, CSC said that Region IV (Southern Tagalog) has the highest number of examinees at 10,884, followed by 10,392 examinees from Region VI (Western Visayas), and 7,924 examinees from Region XI (Davao Region). The CSE-Professional test was given to 61,075 examinees or about 81% of the total number of examinees, while the rest for the Subprofessional level.

CSC announced that passers who got at least 80 percent score will be eligible for a position in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements - education, experience, and training.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE

The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.

The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (In English and Filipino):

Professional Level (Prof)
  • Numerical Ability (basic operations, word problems)
  • Analytical Ability (word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, data interpretation)
  • Verbal Ability (grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, reading comprehension)

SubProfessional Level (SubProf)
  • Numerical Ability (basic operations, word problems)
  • Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
  • Verbal Ability (grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, reading comprehension)

General information items on the following for both levels:
  • Philippine Constitution;
  • Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713);
  • Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and
  • Environment Management and Protection

RELEASE OF RESULTS

The CSC through Examination Announcement 02 s. 2022, said that exam results will be released within 60 days after the examination through posting the list of passers in the CSC website.

"The List of Passers shall be uploaded/posted on the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph within 60 days after the examination," the bulletin stated.

CSC added of May 12, 2022 (Thursday) target release of results.

But we advise takers to monitor announcement of results from May 2 (Monday) until May 12 or in 50-60 calendar days.

Examinees, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website. Note: The date of OCSERGS availability will be posted here soon but you may expect approximately 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

PREVIOUS EXAM

In the August 2019 civil service exams, results were released after sixty (60) working days. A total of 29,733 examinees passed the CSE-PPT. Said figure represents 11.62% of the total 255,778 examinees for both Professional and Subprofessional levels. Karriza Gem Reopta, from the National Capital Region (NCR), bested 224,777 Professional level examinees with a rating of 88.91, while Sidney Dani Gelito, from Southern Tagalog topped the Subprofessional test with a 90.14 rating out of 31,001 examinees.

In the March 2019 CSE-PPT, results were out after 64 working days. A total of 27,944 out of 264,473 total examinees (10.57%) passed the exams. Donna Rizalyn Leus from Southern Tagalog led the 24,304 Professional eligibles as she garnered a rating of 87.03. Meanwhile, Christiani Matugas from NCR topped the 3,640 Subprofessional eligibles with a rating of 94.37.

In the August 2018 exams, results were announced in fifty-eight (58) days after the exam. A total of 22,087 out of 181,985 examinees (12.14%) passed the exams. The figure do not include examinees from National Capital Region (NCR) and Morong, Rizal where examinations were suspended due to torrential rains brought by the southwest monsoon (Habagat). Salveregina Samuelle Sarnillo from Central Visayas, with a rating of 92.35, bested 159,283 examinees of the Career Service Professional level, while Sophia Isabelle Olalia, with a 90.78 rating and from the Southern Tagalog region, placed first among the 22,702 hopefuls for the Subprofessional level.

For the March 2022 CS exam results, takers may also expect of passing rate around 11% or can be translated to around 8,000 passers for both levels of exams.

CERTIFICATE OF ELIGIBILITY TO PASSERS

Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.

Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.

NEXT CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION

Those who missed the March 2022 exam may file for the next CSE-PPT scheduled on June 19, 2022. Application period will start on April 12 until April 28, 2022.
