Jericho Rosales, Kim Jones help rescue operations in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Jericho Rosales together with his wife Kim Jones earned praises as they tried to help stranded residents in a village after Typhoon Ulysses caused severe flooding in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon on November 12.


The couple went out their way, using their surfboards, they gave a hand to the rescue team in Bgy. Tumana, Marikina City when they saw the flood situation early Thursday.

“This morning paglabas namin, baha na. Usually kapag baha dito kasi, ganyan talaga. Laging ganyan ang problema. Sometimes walang boats or flotation devices so naglabas kami ni Kim ng surfboard,” he said.

“Okay naman, safe naman sila, thank God. May mga iba lang na hindi na mapuntahan nung rescue teams kasi malakas na 'yung agos and wala pang boats,” Rosales added.

Netizens were quick to remember the heroic and bravery act of Rosales in 2009 when tropical storm Ondoy hit the country and also affected his subdivision.

Despite the situation, the actor said "Stay calm and siguro it’s too late now to complain or anything so mas maganda, kung tayo mismo in the future we can prepare."
