    Philippine Army in need of nurses, doctors, healthcare workers; salary starts at P29,000

    MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Army (PA) has announced that it has launched a Special Enlistment for Health and Medical Allied Professionals.

    PA said they are currently looking for Reservist Enlisted personnel and medical allied professionals such as doctor, nurse, medical technologist, pharmacist, therapist, midwife, radiology technician, among others.

    Once hired, the applicants will automatically earn the rank of Private and become part of the Regular Force of the Philippine Army through Special Enlistment with a starting basic salary of P29,000.

    They will still undergo the basic military training and will be deployed in various COVID-19 medical treatment facilities in the country.

    After the pandemic, they will still be part of the regular force. They will also be given priority for application for commissionship either in the Nurse Corps or Regular Officer Corps. They will be enlisted for an initial one term or three years.

    To apply, applicants must submit the following requirements
    • PSA Birth Certificate
    • Barangay Clearance
    • Police Clearance
    • NBI Clearance
    • MTC or RTC Certificate of Non-Pending case
    • Transcript of Record,
    • Diploma
    • Whole body picture (size 3R, colored)

    Nurse:
    • 22-35 years old
    • Civil Status (Waived)
    • AFPSAT (Waived)
    • PFT (Waived)
    • Background Investigation
    • Physical and Medical Examination
    • Graduate of BSN
    • PRC Licensed

    Aidman
    • 22-35 years old
    • Civil Status (Waived)
    • AFPSAT (Waived)
    • PFT (Waived)
    • Background Investigation
    • Physical and Medical Examination
    • Graduate of any Medical Course
    • With Basic Life Support Training with Certificate/ID from Authorized agencies

    Respiratory Therapist
    • 22-35 years old
    • Civil Status (Waived)
    • AFPSAT (Waived)
    • PFT (Waived)
    • Background Investigation
    • Physical and Medical Examination
    • Graduate of BSRT
    • PRC Licensed

    Those who are interested to apply may inquire at the nearest Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG) and Community Defense Center (CDC) in your area.

    Last April, the Philippine Army announced that it has recruited 55 new registered nurses to help fight the COVID-19 crisis in the country. The newly-hired nurses will be assigned as members of the Philippine Army medical team and will be deployed to various COVID-19 medical treatment facilities including Army Wellness Center, Rizal Medical Complex and at the Army General Hospital (AGH) as staff nurses.

    The new recruits underwent a series of lectures and seminars on Philippine Army Health Service, Anatomy and Physiology, Intro to COVID 19 Disease, Basic Infection Control (use of PPE, donning and doffing of PPE, hand hygiene, waste disposals, control of traffic and movement in the clinical area), Basic Nursing Procedures (administration of injections, care of patients with mechanical ventilators, and nursing documentations).
