MANILA, Philippines – One guy transformed his room from drab to fab during quarantine – and netizens love how he managed to do it so perfectly!

Nelo Coloma calls his room as his ‘fortress’. In his post on Facebook, Nelo shared that in the past, he did not care what his mother would put a curtain to block out the sun in his room. But he also dreamed of having a room that looks like a hotel room each time he goes on a trip and stays in one.

During the community quarantine period, Nelo finally found the time to get his room fixed.

Before the transformation, the room did not have paint on the walls, no floor tiles, and looked drab. The bed also had a simple bedsheet and Nelo did not care much about the appearance of the bedroom.

During the transformation, Nelo removed nearly everything from the room so he could begin painting the walls. He realized that he can’t do everything himself because painting the walls turned out to be a difficult task. So, he hired workers the following day.

It was a good move. The painting job progressed quickly and the walls would soon look great with the greyish blue paint. One wall is left with white paint for contrast.

The ceiling was also painted and the light replaced. Nelo installed a flat-screen TV and a sound bar on one wall. Then, he added light accents that actually change color, creating a beautiful effect in the room.

After the transformation, the room looks so different from his old room that it’s hard to imagine it is actually the same place! Aside from the paint job and the new home theater system, Nelo also changed the curtains, added a nicely printed comforter on the bed, and put a stylish carpet on the floor.

Framed artworks are also placed on the walls while a minimalistic clock is placed on the half-wall at the foot of the bed.

What an impressive transformation!
