MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) said that 77 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been confirmed on Saturday, bringing the total cases in the Philippines to surpass 300-mark.
As of 4:00 pm today, DOH said that total number of cases is 307. This includes the 32 cases that was reported earlier.
DOH added that one patient died while five others recovered from the virus.

PH205, a 73-year-old Filipino male from San Juan City succumbed to COVID-19 and cardiac arrest on March 12. He has no travel history nor exposure to other patient. He was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 18.
Recovery rate in the Philippines is now 4% or 13 patients have so far cleared or tested negative twice for coronavirus.
On the recovered patients, DOH said that 4 are elderly and one of which is a severe case.
