AGT: The Champions, unlike the regular season, was taped. This means that fans around the world don't have the means to vote for their favorite act. The fate of the contestants is on the hands of the superfans, a group of avid “AGT” viewers who were flown to Los Angeles from the 50 states of America to attend the tapings as well as the studio audiences.

The AGT Champions season 2 finals is composed of 6 acts that made it through in the semifinals round as well as the 4 acts who received golden buzzers back in the quarterfinals of the season.

Last week and ahead of the airing date, AGT released video of finale performance of Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy. The "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 2 winner sang Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson's "Beauty and the Beast." The Pinoy pride wowed everyone with his stellar performance, sweeping the audience off the seats with the emotional duet. Pinoys all over the world are cheering for him, with many hoping that he would bring home the prize as Grand Champion.

While judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Alesha Dixon loved the beautiful song choice of Pomoy, Simon Cowell was not impressed. Fans are accusing him of rigging the show after it was revealed that it was him who had actually picked the song!
