MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) hailed the top performing schools in the February 2020 Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam.

PRC conducted the licensure exam in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Lucena on February 23 and 24.

The top performing schools in the February 2020 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination as per Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058(C) series of 2017:

Here's the performance of schools in the February 2020 Mechanical Engineer (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) board exam in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation":



PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the same period last year, Batangas State University (BatSU) - Alangilan topped the schools in the Mechanical Engineer board exam (50 or more examinees category) with 90.15% or 119 out of 132 passed. Meanwhile, Mindanao State University (MSU) - Iligan Institute of Technology, Visayas State University - Baybay and Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangaas garnered 100% passing rate to top the 10 to 49 examinees category.

In the February 2018 exams, BatSU - Alangilan was the lone top performing school with 99.15% or 117 out of 118 passed the exams.

BatSU - Alangilan also led the schools in the March 2017 exams with 100.00% or 66 of its takers successfully hurdled the exams. BatSU- Batangas City ranked second with 98.51%, 66 out 67 passed the exams. Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) - Manila was on third spot with 97.26% or 71 out of 73 successfully hurdled the tests.
