Teachers take a break from paperwork, join the viral “Tala” dance craze

MANILA, Philippines – A group of teachers recently went viral as they take a break from doing their paperwork to join Sarah Geronimo’s viral “Tala” dance craze. In a post that would soon go viral on Facebook and later on YouTube, teachers Dhomy Ornacho, Daniel Quilang, and Arvin Reforma entertained the public with their version of “Tala”.

As can be seen in the video, the teachers were focused with the many papers on their table. It is unknown what these papers are for, but these look like handouts or perhaps exam papers and worksheets. Whatever these papers might be, the teachers were soon ‘bored’ of stapling the materials together.

‘Tired’ of the monotony in what they were doing, the teachers would soon break out into dance as the music started. One of the teachers stepped out from the desk and began dancing at the space in the middle of the room. The second one joined him while the third one waited a bit before also getting into the dance.

In the music video, the group was having a good time with their much-deserved “Tala” dance break, but the other teachers in the room pretended to be uninterested with their dance. These other teachers could be seen in the background, still doing their papers while the three danced.

A lot of netizens expressed admiration as the teachers did well in their dance. As the music ends, they walked back to their table to continue with what they were doing. After all, it was just a short despite from their busy work.

Students enjoyed their video and a lot of netizens would soon share the post as well. While some might say that teachers should focus on their work, others said that it was nice that they can also have fun and take a break for a while.

  1. Hence, systems have been struggling with PD efficiency for years. Very little of teacher professional development makes its way into practice, simply because teaching is a highly task and socially intensive activity. Autistic

  4. It is imperative to remark that this problem is rooted in the fact that the major incentive for going to school in the earliest days of its inception in different parts of the world was that it was a ticket to prosperity. This was possible then because employment opportunities abound for educated people then. https://www.hr.com/en/app/blog/2020/08/how-to-become-a-speech-language-pathologist_kdtwhfpu.html
