    PHOTOS: Floats wow fans at MMFF 2019 Parade of Stars

    MANILA, Philippines – Impressive floats wowed fans at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars on Sunday, December 22. The parade began at 1:00 pm in Taguig City, with “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity” taking the lead.

    Starring Vic Sotto, Maine Mendoza, Pokwang, and Jake Cuenca, “Mission Unstapabol” featured a huge orange octopus that appears to be on a reef with many colorful marine creatures at the bottom.

    Featuring Iza Calzado, Meryll Soriano, Jasmin Curtis, and other stars, the second float for “Culion” shows a bahay kubo.

    On a float shaped like an elaborate giant script, the cast of “Write About Love” such as Miles Ocampo, Rocco Nacino, and Joem Bascon waved to fans watching the parade.

    “3pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon” features an eye-catching candy land design with lots of swirls and pastel-colored yummy goodies. But fans missed Coco Martin as “Paloma” attended on his behalf, waving alongside Aiai de las Alas and Jennylyn Mercado.

    Aga Muhlach, Bella Padilla, Xia Vigor, and other casts of “Miracle in Cell Number 7” happily waved to fans from a float that was designed to look like a prison cell. Even Aga’s family willingly joined the cast on the float. They’re the happiest ‘prisoners’ in that giant prison-cell float, but fans knew the movie will definitely bring tears to their eyes…

    On the scariest float are Carmina Villaroel, Mylene Dizon, and other casts of “Sunod”, the only horror drama film in this year’s MMFF. A creepy blood-soaked giant hand grabs the helm of the float, while a Grim Reaper creeps out fans from the side.

    The colorful dragon boat design of the float for “Mindanao” starring Judy Ann Santos and Allen Dizon drew cheers from the crowd, with many commenting that this is the best float of the MMFF 2019 Parade of Stars!

    “The Mall the Merrier” starring Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis featured a colorful float with a toy land theme.
