MANILA, Philippines – (Updated January 3) The October 2019 NAPOLCOM exam result, which includes the complete list of passers and top 20, for the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional examinations are officially released online on January 2, 2020 or two (2) months after the tests.
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) administered the police exams to 46,386 takers on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in designated testing centers nationwide.
As announced, a total of 6,492 or 14% examinees hurdled the police examinations. NAPOLCOM said 3,684 out of 34,984 (10.53%) passed the PNP Entrance (PNPE) examination while 2,808 out of 11,402 (24.63%) in-service police officers passed the PNP promotional examinations.
The total number of passers is distributed as follows:

“The release of the results of police examinations is in consonance with the Commission’s commitment to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to make available the examination results within forty-five (45) working days from the date of the examinations, and in sync with the recruitment process being undertaken by the PNP,” Atty. REPORTS OF RATING/VERIFICATION OF TEST RESULT
Individual reports of rating will be mailed to all examinees. Verification of test results will be entertained at the NAPOLCOM central office and its regional offices nationwide. An examinee who passed the test but did not receive his/her Report of Rating may request for the issuance of certification from the same office, upon payment of P150.00.
RENAMING OF PNP PROMOTIONAL EXAM TITLES
Due to the modification of the PNP rank classification under Republic Act No. 11200, the current promotional examination titles are no longer appropriate with the present rank classification, hence, it has to be renamed.
RA 11200 entitled “An Act Providing for the Rank Classification in the Philippine National Police, amending for the purpose Section 28 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended, otherwise known as the "Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990" was signed into law by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on February 8, 2019 and implemented by the PNP on March 25, 2019.
Said law modifies the rank classification in the PNP and standardizes how police officers are addressed.

In the April 2019 NAPOLCOM exams, results were released online in two (2) months after the tests. A total of 5,121 out of 32,972 (15.53%) hurdled the PNP Entrance exam while 5,481 out of 13,447 (40.76%) passed the promotional exam categories.
Results of the October 2018 NAPOLCOM exams were out online in less than three (3) months. A total of 3,742 or 11.37% passed the PNP Entrance Examination while 4,410 or 34.99% passed the PNP Promotional Examinations.
In the April 2018 exams, results were also announced online in less than three (3) months. A total of 4,404 or 14.57% out of the 30,231 examinees passed the entrance exams while 5,680 out of 14,329 (39.64%) passed promotional exams.

The PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age and educational requirements as well as to Patrolman and Patrolwoman whose appointment is temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility.
On the other hand, the Promotional Examinations are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
