WAR OF THE WAKE. Barretto sisters' feud boils over at patriarch's wake.

Go was with President Rodrigo Duterte when they paid their respect at the wake of the Barretto sisters' father, Miguel, on Thursday.

During the wake, the President tried to patch things up between Marjorie and Gretchen. But instead of shaking hands, the estranged sisters allegedly got into an altercation. Things got worse when a niece reportedly tried to grab Gretchen. Despite being held back by their relatives, it was said that Gretchen found a way to fight back.

As if that wasn't enough commotion, Claudine also got into the fight that led to her being hospitalized due to scratches and minor injuries. Members of the Presidential Security Group had to break up the fight.

Go said he was in disbelief upon seeing the incident. He said, "Dun ako nakakita ng parang totoong eksena parang shooting ng eksena sa totoong buhay, kung ano nakikita mo sa pelikula."

The senator said it was unfortunate that the family was in the middle of feud when they visited.

"Pumunta po [kami doon] para makiramay sa yumaong ama ng mga Barretto dahil kaibigan po ni Pangulo ang mga Barretto. Unfortunately, may away ang pamilya," Go said.

He also shared that the President, being a family friend of the Barrettos only had good intentions when he tried to make the sisters fix their relationship.

Go said, "Sinubukan lang po ng pangulo na mamagitan sa kanila at maayos ang lahat."

The Barretto sisters' family drama has divided netizens as they continue to exchange tirades online.
