FULL RESULTS: September 2019 LET teachers board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines — (LET Result. Updated December 1) The September 2019 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) or teachers board exam results, together with the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools for Elementary and Secondary levels are released online on Sunday, December 1 or in fifty (50) working days after the exam.

As announced, 28,973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees (31.34%) and 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) successfully passed the LET.

It is further announced that of the 28,973 elementary teacher passers, 24,066 are first timers and 4,907 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 48,447 passers are first timers and 5,732 are repeaters.

The results of examination with respect to seven (7) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the second LET board exam this year on Sunday, September 29, 2019 in at least 26 testing centers nationwide.

Testing centers include Baguio, Batanes, Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro (CDO), Catarman (Northern Samar), Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Kidapawan, Manila, Masbate, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales (Pangasinan), Romblon, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Pagadian and Zamboanga.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy (on leave), Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

The schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams will be from December 16 to 20, 2019 and January 6 to 22, 2020..

The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
  • Notice of Admission (for identification only);
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
  • two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  • two sets of documentary stamps;
  • 1 piece short brown envelope.

PRC said that successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, the Commission added.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

LET board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

NOTE: If you have 'Jr" name suffix, please add it after your FIRST NAME (i.e Eduardo Jr ) to avoid 'no matching record found' error.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The September 2019 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary - General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary - General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.

To pass the LET, hopeful must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

Note that passing the teacher licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1127 series of 2018, the target release of September 2019 LET board exam result is on Friday, November 29 or in 44 working days after the test.

The computed total number of workdays excludes 8 Saturdays and Sundays and one (1) holiday — All Saints' Day (Friday, November 1).

PRC Board News, our partner website for PRC exam results said that the probable release date of September 2019 LET exam results is between November 25 and December 9, 2019 or in 40-50 working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released earlier or beyond the target date without prior notice. This is due to several factors such as the total number of examinees, effect of work cancellations due to calamities and unforeseen events and system of checking the pencil-based tests.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the same period last year (September 2018), PRC announced LET results after fifty-two (52) working days. A total of 18,409 elementary teachers out of 90,750 examinees (20.29%) and 60,803 secondary teachers out of 126,582 examinees (48.03%) successfully hurdled the tests. University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the schools in the Elementary level while University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD) was the top 1 performing school in the Secondary level exams.

In the September 2017 LET, results were out in forty-three (43) working days after the exam. A total of 21,198 elementary teachers out of 80,509 examinees (26.33%) and 49,626 secondary teachers out of 107,020 examinees (46.37%) successfully passed the tests. UST led the schools in the Elementary level while University of the Philippines - Los Banos (UPLB) dominated the Secondary level exams.

In the September 2016 LET, results were released online in forty-eight (48) working days after the exam. PRC announced that 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) successfully passed the exams. UST and University of the Philippines- Diliman (UPD) topped the schools for Elementary and Secondary exams, respectively.

November 7, 2019 Update: In a hint given by review center owner Carl Balita on Facebook, the September 2019 LET result is expected to be released on November 29. "When the days sum up to its month, the DREAM and the DREAMER become one."
