Teachers have to make sure that their classrooms are interesting so as to help facilitate learning and make their students want to come back day after day. These days, many students find school to be boring because they have other options to enjoy outside class hours.

To create more interesting classrooms, teachers often have to make bulletin boards and various visual aids or posters. While many choose to print out colorful posters, one teacher in Tandag, Surigao del Sur recently went viral for creating bulletin boards using just chalk!

Cabrera spent many days working on the bulletin boards, creating interesting art that his students are sure to enjoy in the coming days.

Each subject was well represented with keywords and drawings relevant to the children’s lessons.

Araling Panlipunan, for example, had drawings of a partial globe, weather elements, and map directions with keywords like “lokasyon ng Pilipinas” and “continental drift” set inside the board.

Another board was designated for Science. It features a drawing of a recycled cup with keywords like the “5Rs for a cleaner environment” listed out as well as “physical change” and “chemical change”. The MAPEH board shows music notes and drawings for physical education.

Each of the bulletin board showcases different topics and drawings per subject. What made these so impressive is that the teacher was able to create something that draws his students’ attention despite just using a chalk as medium. He even used just white chalk, yet the individual bulletin boards were so interesting that the kids would surely check them out from time to time.

Since he’s using chalk and a regular board you can find in classrooms, making changes to his display won’t cost him anything because he does not need to print out visual aids and posters. Instead, this creative teacher simply has to think of new keywords and drawings to update the displays. This made his work even more admirable!
