MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 5.5 earthquake that shook parts of Occidental Mindoro on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

The exact time of occurrence was recorded at 09:05 a.m. with epicenter at Rizal, Occidental Mindoro.

The earthquake that occurred has a tectonic origin with 8 km depth of focus.
