University of San Carlos tops May 2012 CPA board exams

MANILA, Philippines – University of San Carlos (USC) is the only top performing school in the May 2012 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

USC has 83.33% passing rate or 60 out of 72 hurdled the series of tests.

PRC said that 1,995 out of 5,315 passed the CPA board exam given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this May 2012.
 
The results were released in just 1 working day after the last day of examination.

The University of San Carlos is a Roman Catholic university governed by the Society of the Divine Word in Cebu City since 1935. Various offerings include pre-elementary and basic education as well as undergraduate and graduate courses, and a broad spectrum of academic programs through its eight colleges.
