AirAsia Flight 8501 plane crash 'prophecy' video goes viral

The clip titled, 'AirAsia Plane Crash PROPHECY' was released by a Christian television channel called Emmanuel TV which has over 133,000 subscribers.

The 5 minute video shows Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua telling his church members to pray for the nation of Indonesia, describing "a situation which will cost a lot of lives, suddenly".

These were his words: "I have a message for the nation, Indonesia. This country, Indonesia - I don’t know what is happening. They should pray for Indonesia. That is, the nation Indonesia. When it comes to this disaster issue, I don’t want to mention it. It looks so nasty to me to mention - a situation where it will cost a lot of lives, suddenly. This is a crash. Why should this continue to happen there? I think there is a nature - a geographical atmosphere. There is something there that they should look into.”

Early in the morning on Sunday, December 28, 2014, an AirAsia passenger jet (Flight 8501) carrying 162 people lost contact with Indonesian air traffic control. A development on search operations happened on Tuesday as search officials said the debris found in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo is from the missing plane. Indonesian Navy said that at least 40 bodies have been recovered from the sea.

Surprisingly, this is not the first major airline disaster the pastor has claimed to predict. The clip of his purported prediction of the Malaysian Airlines MH370 disaster also went viral, raking up over 1,000,000 views in a matter of weeks.

Missing AirAsia Flight 8501 Update: 95% certain debris is from missing plane, says search official

Indonesian civil aviation chief on Tuesday believes that pieces of debris spotted in the water near where AirAsia Flight 8501 went missing is from the missing plane.

95% certain debris is from missing AirAsia plane

“We spotted about 10 big objects and many more small white-coloured objects which we could not photograph,” an Indonesian air force official, Air Vice-Marshall Agus Dwi Putranto, told in a press conference.

“The position is 10km from the location the plane was last captured by radar,” he told AFP.

The National Search and Rescue Agency confirmed the Navy found an object underwater that resembled a plane, while several commanders are confident an emergency exit door is among the debris, according to local media on Twitter. They said due to everything seen so far, the agency is 95% certain it is AirAsia Flight 8501.

Search officials are concerned that currents in the waters could cause the debris to spread before the teams arrive, reports CNN.

Channel News Asia also reported that search officials are bringing body bags to Pangkalan Bun in preparation for the worst.

UPDATE: At least 40 bodies have been recovered from the sea in the search for missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501, the Indonesian navy says and with reports from BBC News and RT.

The bodies were spotted along with debris floating in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo, in one of the search zones for the plane.

MMFF Ranking 2014 Latest Update: 'Praybeyt Benjamin', 'Feng Shui' earn P304M in 4 days

MANILA, Philippines - Star Cinema-produced movies “The Amazing Praybet Benjamin” and “Feng Shui 2” have dominated the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ranking and nationwide box-office gross total income as the two films earned P304 million after 4 days in theaters.

'Praybeyt Benjamin', 'Feng Shiu' earn 304M in 4 days

Vice Ganda announced that his film "The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin" breached the P200-million mark at the close of nationwide screenings on Sunday, beating the record set by the current all-time top-grosser in the same period last year.

UPDATE: 'English Only, Please' enters MMFF 2014 Top 4 Highest-grossing Films

On Monday, the comedian tweeted that 'Praybeyt Benjamin' has already earned P201 million after its fourth day in theaters.

'Benjamin's box-office performance so far puts it on track to topple the gross earnings of another Vice Ganda-starrer "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy," an entry in last year's MMFF that is currently the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time.

Meanwhile, Kris Aquino-led horror film "Feng Shui 2" has earned a total of P103.5 million in 4 days as announced by ABS-CBN's AdProm Head for Social Media & Publicity Eric John Salut on Instagram.

On Sunday, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman and overall MMFF head Francis Tolentino officially announced that gross total income of the entries in the MMFF had already reached P365 million for the first three days of showing.

Tolentino said that the figure is 12 percent higher compared to last year’s three-day total of P326 million.

He said that the top four films, in no particular order, are “The Amazing Praybet Benjamin,” “Fung Shui 2,” My Big Bossing,” and “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles are leading the rest of the entries in terms of overall earnings since the first day of showing.

Other entries include “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” “English Only, Please”, “Magnum Muslim .357″ and “Shake, Rattle & Roll 15.”

However, no official figures from the MMFF have been cited, saying the executive committee is careful not to influence moviegoers by announcing a top favorite in terms of nationwide earnings.

Tolentino said the festival is likely to hit P1.2 billion in gross earnings when it closes on January 4.

During the MMFF awards night on December 27, the Robin Padilla-starrer "Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo" and the romantic-comedy "English Only, Please" received the top honors.

Let us greet the New Year without injuries,” Health Acting Secretary Janette Loreto-Garin said, adding that firecracker injury can be treated and eventually get healed but not the damage on our children’s future brought about by a few minutes of merry-making.

DOH urged the public to celebrate the holidays with utmost caution as it launched this year’s anti-firecrackers campaign dubbed “Mahalaga ang Buhay, Iwasan ang Paputok.”

DOH “Mahalaga ang Buhay, Iwasan ang Paputok”

“There are other means to celebrate than exploding firecrackers and lighting fireworks. Mahalaga ang buhay. It is not worth risking losing lives and limbs,” Loreto-Garin said, noting that DOH recorded 1,018 fireworks-related injuries during the 2013 holiday season.
