Douglas vs Junmark vs Nathan Team Bamboo Battles on 'The Voice Kids' Philippines

Manila, Philippines - Team Bamboo artists clashed in the much-awaited "The Voice Kids" Philippines Battle Rounds on Saturday, July 5, 2014. It was a battle of vocals between Douglas Alabe, Junmark Armecin and Nathan Bautista as they performed Aerosmith power ballad song I Don't Want to Miss a Thing.'

Three-chair turner Nathan, 8, was pitted against Douglas, 11, and Junmark, 14, in The Battles. Manalac was the lone coach to press his button for Douglas and Junmark, who sang "Yesterday's Dream" and "Mula sa Puso" in the Blind Auditions. Nathan's rendition of "Don't Stop Believing," meanwhile, is considered one of the more memorable performances in the first leg of the competition.

Coach Sarah chose Douglas while Lea chose Nathan. Coach Bamboo picked Nathan as the winner in the three-way battle. He will advance to the next round of the competition – the Sing-Offs.

Coach Bamboo had selected the groups of artists who have competed and the songs they had performed in the Battles.

After the Battles, vocal showdown of Team Bamboo's top 6 artists will be featured in the Sing-Offs, which will cut down the team to its Final 2 artists.

The episode of The Battles on Saturday dominates online conversations with '#TeamBambooBattles', 'Juan Karlos', 'Go Stacy', 'Borge', 'The Scientist' and 'A Thousand Years' among the trending topics.

Don’t miss the fun and excitement in “The Voice Kids,” which once again topped the list of the most watched programs in the country, according to data from Kantar Media. The singing reality show hit an average national TV rating of 35.6% in June 2014.

“The Voice Kids” airs on Saturdays, 6:45 PM and Sundays, 7:30 PM on ABS-CBN’s Yes Weekend.
