Mauled Vhong Navarro speaks up on Buzz ng Bayan: I'm not a rapist

Manila, Philippines - Vhong Navarro on Sunday, January 26, 2014 speaks up for the first time on national television his version of story behind The Fort brutal attack happened on January 22. Boy Abunda of  "Buzz ng Bayan", ABS-CBN weekly news and talk show interviewed the mauled It's Showtime actor to inquire for the truth.

Vhong Navarro speaks real story on brutal attack


The comedian denies allegations that he raped a 22-year old student. He claimed that he was a victim of an elaborate extortion plot.

"They violated me. They threatened me, saying they will kill my children, my parents.", Vhong said.

Vhong named Deniece Millet Cornejo, the girl who invited him in the condominium at the Bonifacio Global City. He detailed his encounters with Cornejo, whom he met two years ago.

Vhong recalled a certain “Cedric Lee” and his group composed of at least six men allegedly blindfolded and mauled him. “Cedric” allegedly blackmailed Vhong and forced him to write that he “raped a friend,” and threatened to kill the actor and members of his family if he will refuse to give in to their demands.

"Merong pangba-blackmail na nangyari. Ginawa lang ang pagpapa-blotter na yun para may panghawakan sila laban sa akin."

 "Kailangan kong magbayad daw ng P1M. Sinagad pa nila ng P2M, sabi ko hindi ko kaya. Hindi pa ako nagbabayad. Pinakawalan ako dahil kailangan ko daw ibigay ng Jan. 23 ng hapon."

"2 beses akong nagpunta doon. Nagpunta ako Friday, Jan. 17 (10:45PM). Sinundo ako sa lobby. Tapos nag-inom kami."

"Friendly meeting ito, hindi ko girlfriend [yung babae]. Hindi ako gagawa ng move kung wala syang motibo."

"May nangyari pero walang sexual intercourse. Wala akong kalmot o sugat. Malinaw na gusto nya ang nangyari."

"Noong pauwi na ako, tinext nya ako na "Bad boy ka". Tapos sabi ko na lang, "Sorry, bawi na lang ako".

Vhong Navarro victim of brutal attack


Another story: 22-year-old student accuses Vhong Navarro of attempted rape

On Saturday, another speculation behind the attack surfaced as GMA-7’s “24 Oras Weekend' reported that comedian-TV host was involved in an attempted rape incident as seen in a complaint filed before the Taguig police on Wednesday (January 22).

Signature of Ferdinand Navarro's (Vhong's real name) is allegedly on the police blotter filed by an unidentified 22-year-old student.

According to the complainant, Vhong came to her condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. While inside the unit, the woman got surprised when the comedian allegedly touched her hand and pulled her hair.

The complainant claimed to have fought back and ran to seek help. Vhong supposedly chased after her, forcibly pushed her to bed as the TV host attempted to pull down her shorts.

In additional, two men allegedly came in and made a “citizen arrest” to rescue their friend from Vhong’s advances. The report said that the woman agreed not to pursue case against the TV host.




Chito Roño's statement for the incident

Vhong Navarro's manager Chito Roño also released his statement regarding the issue of attempted rape. Roño dismissed the blotter's authencity and said it was not found in any precinct in Taguig on Friday.

"The police chief was reported to have denied it existed. We are as keen as you are how GMA got it."

On Friday, Roño informed ABS-CBN News that his talent was invited by a female friend to the condominium unit, where the actor was allegedly tied up, blindfolded, threatened, and attacked by the group of men.

Roño has refused to provide further details of the incident.

Meanwhile, Taguig City Police has launched an investigation into the incident and checking whether there are any CCTV footage showing the incident.


Vhong is recovering from the brutal attack

The It's Showtime co-host is currently recovering from the brutal assault. Vhong may undergo an operation due to his injuries.

In a statement released by ABS-CBN News on Saturday, Navarro's doctor said that Vhong had contusion hematoma around his eyes, forehead, chin and some parts of his extremities.

"He has broken bones in his nose which will require surgery," the doctor added. "We will continue his medications as of the moment and monitor for recovery."
